A faulty instrument cluster is more than just inconvenient — a dead speedometer, stuck odometer or an always-on airbag light can make your car fail PUC, inspection or roadworthiness checks. Cluster Programming & VIN / Mileage Coding

Fitted a second-hand cluster? Clusters are locked to the car via immobiliser (CAS on BMW, Kessy on Audi, Immo on VW/Skoda, EZS on Mercedes). A swap without coding means the engine will not crank, the mileage will be wrong, and warning lights will stay on.
